I'm starting to get annoyed as I have got to college at 9 every day this week and have had to wait about 20 minutes for the Tutor to let me in. Anyway Gerin had got back to me on my cross fire so the first thing I did was quickly get to work on that. He had told me to render it on Adobe After Effects instead of importing it straight into Premiere Pro. While it was rendering I worked on my credits which wasn't hard at all as I had a tutorial open on my laptop.
When my video had render'd for some reason it still didn't work on Premiere Pro so I quickly went to Media Encoder and had it loading while I went to listen to Angle giving a presentation. Once he was done I quickly came back down and grab a disc off Mike from Gerin which should have my character on fire. Annoyingly the disc didn't work and was also a CD so I think Gerin had given him the wrong one. I e-mailed Gerin this and he said he would bring it with him when he came in.
Luckily though my cross had finally started to work and I was able to put that in. I did discover though for some reason there was no sound so I got some fire sound effects off YouTube and slotted those in. Soon after I had done this Gerin arrived and the effects looked great and even better they worked on Premiere Pro. Once that was in I needed music which I had firstly thought about making some on Logic but due to the time I decided just to use a song.
I chose O Fortuna as I liked it and was the sort of music I wanted for the trailer. I had to edit it a little as the beginning was far to loud for the scene. Weirdly without that first bit though it fit with my trailer nearly perfectly. My trailer was 4 seconds longer which I just removed from the credits. I then showed it to Mike and Gerin who both liked it yet agreed I needed to work on the audio and try and reverb it a little. I tried this and only had problems with 2 pieces.The gunshot with a little time was able to get right and Sian talking as the video had her outside and I just can't find a way to get that right.
Annoying because of this I wasn't able to finish the video today and I have no idea how I am going to get Sians voice right.

Major Project (19/11/13)
Continuing with my video today was all about the audio. I had written a script before hand but as some of the scene were just spur of the moment things I needed to write bits for them. This didn't take to long and once I was done and went off and recorded myself saying my characters bits. I would have done all the recording at the same time but as I had 3 people to record and they had there own work to do I thought I'd just do one person at a time.
I soon got all of my talking done but I had idiotically forgotten to do the growling bits when I am a vampire. Once I had finished this I stole Sian and recorded hers and then later stole Luke. Thankfully I didn't have to many problems just bits here and there. The main thing that was annoying was the first scene as my talking was to long and when I had cut it down it was very tight with the rest of the audio but still worked. Then there was Luke's screams as on the video he opens his mouth and trying to get the audio to match was so annoying.
Eventually after about 30 minutes on this I got it to work. I then quickly got a gunshot sound off YouTube and plopped that in. Then I left audio and started to get fire on my cross which after a while just wasn't working in Premiere Pro for some reason so I e-mailed Gerin for assistance. At this point I decided to work on the credits but was rudely interrupted by the lesson ending.
I think I made some good head way today and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Moving Image & Major Project (18/11/13)
Today as it is the last week it is a big rush for everyone to get all of their work done. I started by working on my video. Firstly what I did was get all my footage off the camera and placed it in to Premiere Pro. I then edited it down so that I only had the bits that I wanted. I started to do this to all my clips when I realized that their was one piece of footage that I had still yet to get. Luckily it wasn't that difficult and I was able to grab Sian and Kate to quickly do the scene. We did it twice just to make sure which was lucky as the first shot wasn't that good but the second was much better.
After this I asked Gerin to help me out with some of the effects as I wanted one of my characters to be on fire. After a while of trying to get it to work for some reason it just didn't but thankfully Gerin said he would try and get it to work at home.
In Major Project I continued with this and started to place the clips in the right places. This took some time as I wasn't to sure about if some of the scenes would work where I placed them. Once they were all in though I found that it looked pretty good and started to work on the transfers. This got annoying as well as I didn't want transfers on some scenes yet I did on others and choosing which would was annoying. By the end of the day I had got this done but was unable to do anything else as the lesson ended.

PPD & Research Methods (13/11/13)
Today for PPD I continued to work on my Personal Statement which was annoying because at first I couldn't find a computer that worked and had to use Mike's. My brain didn't seem to be working today as I just couldn't work out what I wanted to say. Mike came and helped me out and I am very nearly finished I just have the last line to work on but couldn't think of what it could be. Eventually Mike made me leave it which I was happy with as I don't think I could have left it myself and I wasn't getting anywhere.
After this I started me report and was talking about Nosferatu which was very interesting but had to leave soon after as we were having an early lunch due to the fact I had to go to Essential Skills because I couldn't go on Friday. Essential Skills was fine as it was maths and I liked maths and got all the questions right and soon came back for more challenging work. Continuing my report I discovered that Nosferatu was just a rip off of Dracula which led me to talk about it for over 500 words.
When I left that section I went to the 1930s and started to talk about the iconic faces of horror. It soon became apparent that I probably shouldn't do the whole history of horror films as I only just enter'd the 1940s and was already over 1300 word when the report only has to be 2000. I am very happy with this new report though as there are just some many things about it that interest me and I don't think there is going to be any problems about me finishing it on time.

Major Project (12/11/13)
Today to start off I wanted to do some work on my Personal Statement but couldn't as my Essential Skills tutor wanted to see me. Annoyingly as well my tutor Mike has decided that he thinks I'm dyslectic and wanted to see her as well. Thankfully she wasn't there at the time we went up so we came back down and Mike highlighted parts of my Personal Statement that needed improving. He helped me out with that for a while until finally we could see the Essential Skills tutor. I tried to go without him but he court up with me and so now I'm going to have a dyslexia test.
After this we continued with the Personal Statement for a bit until we got bored and I moved on to do my new report. My new report is the History Of Horror Films as I find that it would be easier to do as it is factual and not interpreted stuff with millions of people having their own opinion like the last one. I wasn't able to get a lot of stuff done on it but I ac-least got a start on it.
Today was pretty good beside the dyslexia thing as I know I don't have it but oh well, the rest was great as I got a lot of stuff done for my Personal Statement and I'm quite happy with my new report.

Today in Moving Image we started off by having to wait around for ages as we couldn't get in the class room. Eventually when the keys arrived I started to get changed into costume as I wanted to do some filming. I filmed 2 scenes with the help of Gerin where I stabbed a guy with a wooden staff and another where I was a vampire looking menacing.
When I had these clips I put them on to the computer and started to edit them down to get the right look. I also fiddled around with the effects to make sure they looked the best they could. This took a while as we had shots from different angles and I was trying to make the timing fit in with the angle change. This went very well and I was able to create 2 scenes which look really good.

PPD & Research Methods (6/11/13)
Today for PPD I (of course) continued with my Personal Statement. Mike tells me that it is improving but I won't be happy with it until a university has called me back for an interview. The main problem that Mike and I have discovered with me is that I can very easily say what I want to write but when it comes down to writing it I seem to just screw it up. I try and make it sound professional and keep to the rules of the Personal Statement when I write but now I have decided to just write it out as I would say it and then once its done show it to Mike to see where it could be improved.
Once we had finished this we went on to Research Methods where everyone in class ganged up on me to say that I need to do more research and not to rely on what I know. I started out by researching the method for films and found a few sites that were no help as they kept telling me on how to write a story. When Mike came over he read what I had written about the plot which I then had to change a bit and do some more research on. Eventually I found that there was just so much information about what a plot is and if I am to be furrow I would also have to talk about what is a theme, story, narrative and the structure to make sure its fully understood.
This came to the realization that I may have to change my report topic to "What is a Plot?". I did a lot of research about the plot but there are so many different theory's about what it is I don't know weather I will be able to find it all. As it is reaching the end of term and my report does seem to be going anywhere I may just change it to something simpler so that I will be able to finish it.
Today was a bit stressful as I just don't know what I am going to do about my report so I am just going to have to talk to Mike about it as soon as possible.
